Noguchi Taikai 2024 – Chicago

Training is always a wonderful experience. Reconnect with your Buyu and be able to share with new faces and personalities.

2024 began in a majestic way: Noguchi Sensei visited the city of the winds, Chicago, to lead the annual Taikai impeccably organized by Sean and Kei Askew (Bujinkan Kokusai Renkoumyo martial arts association). We had the opportunity to share 3 days of practice and study with the mastery of Noguchi Sensei, in the company of Dai Shihan Mark Lithgow, Dai Shihan Gabor Daranyi, and Dai Shihan Sean Askew.

As always, Noguchi Sensei’s technical quality and explanations are unique. His human warmth and joy that characterizes him are like a guiding light whose radiance illuminates the hearts of those of us who had the honor of living this experience once again. Without a doubt, an event that strengthens the foundations of Bujinkan martial arts and greatly honors the legacy of Grandmaster Soke Masaaki Hatsumi.

The mission remains the same…  Keep Going!

About Monkeys

This tsuba (鍔) gently reminds us that no one is exempt from making a mistake.

No matter how much knowledge we have, if we do not constantly practice what we know, it will only be that: something we know, but in practice we will not know how to apply, opening the door for mistakes to occur.

Being wrong is not bad at all, but not accepting it and not having the courage to correct yourself is undoubtedly a defeat.

Saru mo ki kara oshiru (猿も木から落ちる) “Even monkeys fall from trees”

hold on to the branches of constant training!

David.
